The Year in StarCraft II is a book that I began working on during the summer of 2011 and that I plan to release the first edition of in early 2012. StarCraft II is an amazing game and has spawned a professional competitive scene as interesting and exciting as any traditional sport on the planet. Believing that the competitive StarCraft II scene will only continue to experience the phenomenal growth it saw in 2011, I found myself wishing there could be a record of the professional aspect of this game. I wanted the history of StarCraft II to be recorded at the best possible time — as it happened. I wanted something that could both inform us now about the specifics of the professional scene and also serve as a document for us to look back on in years to come.
If things go as planned and if this book is as well received as I hope and believe it will be, this will be only the first of many annual Year in StarCraft II books to come. In future editions, not only will StarCraft II continue to be chronicled, but the book itself will improve. One day, I hope, we will look back at The Year in StarCraft: 2011 and see both an amazing esport in its infancy and a worthy book series in the same stage of its life.
This is the story of StarCraft II. It’s a story that all fans are a part of.
It’s a story that deserves to be told.

I support this.
It’s a really interesting aspect of E-Sports. Will definitely keep an eye on your progress. Good luck!
Please make sure to get very in depth and detailed with that strategy section you mentioned.
Well, the aim is actually not to go too in-depth into that. I’m not trying to make the book instructional. Rather, it’s meant to cover, more broadly, what general strategies were used most commonly in the various matchups.
You are so amazing and this game is so amazing and community it makes me wanna cry!
